Lotusphere 2011
Again we'll be at Lotusphere, and again we'll host a Birds-of-Feather session about OOP in Notes and Domino:

BOF217: Object-Orientated Programming in IBM Lotus Notes and Domino
Session date Wednesday, 2011-02-02
Session time 5:45pm - 6:45pm
Session location Swan Hotel, Parrot 1
Speakers Thomas Bahn, Bernd Hort

Session description:

Object-oriented programming in Lotus
Notes and Domino still means LotusScript for most developers. Who uses
an OOP approach in his applications, where and why? Only LotusScript, or
Java or even object-oriented JavaScript? We'll start with some questions
about the present state of OOP in Lotus Notes and Domino. Then we'll discuss,
what the attendees believe are the reasons for this state. After that,
we'll have a look at the new features of 8.0 and 8.5: How has the Domino
Designer on Eclipse changed things? What influence had Composite Applications
and XPages, server-side JavaScript, Eclipse plug-ins and the Java UI classes
on this subject? What will happen in the future with XPages applications
getting more complex and the XPages Extension API?
