How to start a blog? What should I write to fill the emptyness? Perhaps, something about the authors?
The authors beginning to blog here are Bernd Hort and me, Thomas Bahn.
Surely, Bernd will write some details about himself soon, so I will start with me:
I was born in 1970, so I am 36 years by now (until November).
I have grown up near Hannover (Germany). I have bought my first computer - a Texas Instruments 99/4a - with 14 years. Then it became clear, what I would do the rest of my life.
I went to school (Georg-Büchner-Gymnasium) in Letter near Hannover. There I persuaded, together with two friends, a teacher to found a computer team. Our school had already a computer room with approximately 6 Apple II+ and a (commonly used) hard disk with about 10 MB! We programmed using UCSD Pascal.
Out of lazyness, I have studied in Hannover (didn't want to move elsewhere): Mathematics combined with computer science together with technical russian and computer linguistik.
1999, after completing my studies, I moved to nothern Germany to a city near Kiel, where I do Lotus Notes/Domino, Java and Oracle.
Somehow it is visible, that I am working to much and to long, isn't it?
